Jill Rider is the marketing manager with The FWA Group, Architects. The FWA Group specializes in research and educational facilities, as well as sustainable design. The firm, founded in 1953, is headquartered in Charlotte with additional offices in Research Triangle Park, Hilton Head Island, and Fort Collins, Colorado. Jill has worked in the A/E/C industry since 2002 and has previous experience working with consulting engineering firms prior to joining FWA. Jill has served on the SMPS Carolinas Chapter Board as the past communications chair and past president.

President Elect — Diane Rutledge, CPSM
Diane Rutledge is the Director of Marketing and Communications with Balfour Beatty Construction. Balfour Beatty Construction provides general contracting, at-risk construction management, design-build, preconstruction and turnkey services nationwide.  The company employs 380 in the Southeast Division and 1,700+ professionals nationally and is one of the largest contractors in the country, as ranked by ENR, with regional headquarters in: Charlotte, North Carolina, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Dallas, Texas, and Washington, D.C. Diane has been in the A/E/C industry for 17 years. She is a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) and also serves on the SMPS Membership Committee.

Secretary — Emily Crandall, CPSM
Emily Crandall is the Communications Manager of Horizon Engineering Associates, LLP (HEA). HEA specializes in building commissioning services for new construction and existing buildings and is similarly dedicated to sustainable design and construction practices through their involvement in the LEED certification process. Emily began her tenure at HEA’s New York City headquarters and later joined the Charlotte, NC office in 2006. She has worked in the A/E/C industry since 2001 and earned the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) designation in 2008. She also serves on the SMPS Carolinas Chapter Communications Committee.

Treasurer — Kathleen Chambers, CPSM
Kathleen is the Marketing Coordinator for S&ME, an 850-person professional firm providing geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, environmental, occupational health and safety, and natural resources services from 22 offices throughout the Southeast. Celebrating her 10th year with SMPS, she comes to us from the Connecticut Chapter where she served as president, secretary, membership chair, and planning committee member for two SMPS Northeast Regional Conferences during her 8 years there.  Her history with the A/E/C industry spans 20 years and includes marketing and technical writing positions in California, Connecticut, Florida and now North Carolina. She joined the Carolinas Chapter in 2006 and co-chaired the Programs Committee prior to serving as Treasurer.

Director of Programs — Christina Bisbikis
Christina is a Marketing Coordinator for the BE&K Building Group, a subsidiary of BE&K, Inc. formed in 2004. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, the BE&K Building Group is a leading General Contractor/ Construction Manager with eight offices located throughout the Southeast. She began working as an intern, while studying Corporate Communications at Queens University of Charlotte. After graduating, she began working with BE&K Building Group full time and has recently celebrated her third year anniversary with the company. While away from work, Christina enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Susan Epps is Marketing Applications Specialist for the BE&K Building Group, a subsidiary of BE&K, Inc. formed in 2004. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, the BE&K Building Group is a leading General Contractor/Construction Manager with eight offices located throughout the Southeast. Susan specializes in corporate infrastructure and marketing-related software applications and has served the construction industry since 2005. Prior to joining the BE&K Building Group, Susan served as Communications Coordinator for a local non-profit organization and enjoyed an early career in radio broadcasting.

Director of Membership — Tammy Coghill
Tammy is Business Development Manager for the Charlotte office of WPC, Inc. Established in 1993, WPC is headquartered in Charleston, SC and provides geotechnical, environmental, special inspections, and materials testing services for public and private projects across the southeast. In addition to the Charlotte and Charleston offices, WPC has offices in Jacksonville FL, Savannah GA, Columbia SC, and Myrtle Beach SC. Throughout the 250 person company, the firm’s commitment is to Listen – Respond – Perform for each client, on each project. Tammy has been in the A/E/C industry since 2005 and previously worked in local government community and economic development. She earned her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of South Carolina. She recently began pursuit of a Graduate Certificate in Organizational and Corporate Communication.

Director of Education — Lauren Reinhardt
Lauren Reinhardt came to Stewart Engineering (Stewart) from the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, where she served as Director of Research for Economic Development. Stewart is a full-service engineering consulting firm that focuses on structural engineering, site/civil engineering, transportation engineering, and construction services, as well as surveying and landscape architecture. Lauren is responsible for marketing, business development, and community relations in the Charlotte region. Lauren has two master's degrees - an MBA from The Citadel in Charleston and a master's degree in city and regional planning from Clemson University. Go Tigers!
